Hanhe Cable’s New Factory Rises—From Blueprint to Reality—Zhou Hongbing, Deputy General Manager of Administration at the Jiaozuo Branch

Recently, the Testing Center of Jiaozuo Hanhe Cable Co., Ltd. announced good news: it has successfully passed the on-site assessment by the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS) and has been awarded the qualification of a nationally accredited laboratory.
May 7, 2020—this was a day destined to be extraordinary. On that day, together with Zhang Sixia, Chairman of the Board of Directors; Zhang Chuangye, Chairman of Jiaozuo Hanhe; and Sun Liqiang, General Manager, I attended the meeting at which Jiaozuo Hanhe signed an investment agreement for a comprehensive relocation with the Shanyang District Government.
On December 22, 2020, the grand ceremony marking the relocation and transformation of 100 enterprises from urban areas in Jiaozuo City, as well as the centralized groundbreaking for the fourth batch of key projects in Shanyang District for 2020, was solemnly held at the construction site of the Jiaozuo Hanhe Comprehensive Relocation and Renovation Project. Leaders including district mayors from the four districts and heads of relevant government departments attended the ceremony. At the event, Zhang Chuangye, Chairman of Jiaozuo Hanhe, delivered a work report on the project’s progress. As a key participant in the project, standing amidst the crowd and hearing the leaders’ recognition and high expectations for the project filled me with deep pride.
During the construction of the new plant, we faced numerous challenges. The project site is located in an abandoned coal mine area, with terrain that slopes from south to north—a height difference of over 10 meters. In the northern part, we had to excavate downward by 4 meters, while in the southern part, we needed to backfill by 4 meters, presenting significant difficulties for construction. To ensure the foundation’s load-bearing capacity and structural safety, we conducted both light-touch probing tests and static plate load tests. Ultimately, the testing results showed that the entire area of Building No. 1 met the design requirements for foundation bearing capacity, laying a solid foundation for subsequent construction activities. From project filing to obtaining the land certificate, construction land planning permit, detailed general layout plan, environmental impact assessment, energy assessment, planning permit, review of construction drawings, fire safety design review, and finally the construction permit—every step was carried out with meticulous care and precision, leaving no room for even the slightest negligence, thereby ensuring that the project’s construction is fully legal and compliant.
During the equipment installation phase, colleagues from the Equipment Department worked overtime, racing against time. They maintained close communication with equipment suppliers and repeatedly fine-tuned equipment parameters to ensure that every piece of equipment would reach its ideal operating condition. After months of intense effort, on November 3, 2022, the new plant finally welcomed the trial production of its very first piece of equipment—the copper drawing machine. At that moment, the workshop erupted in enthusiastic applause, and everyone’s faces were filled with joyful smiles. All the hard work and dedication had finally paid off.
Looking back on the entire process of relocating and constructing the new plant, I realize that this was not merely a change of location—it was also a significant milestone in Jiaozuo Hanhe Cable’s journey of growth and development. This experience has profoundly deepened my understanding of the power of teamwork and the visionary leadership of the company’s management. Every single person involved was like a cog in a machine, working closely together to keep the entire project moving forward smoothly. The days and nights spent working tirelessly, the moments when we tackled challenging problems side by side with our colleagues—these will forever remain unforgettable and precious memories in my career, constantly inspiring me to keep forging ahead with courage and determination in my future endeavors.
