Everyone is responsible for safe production.

Nothing in the world is and unchanging—everything is in flux, everything is evolving. On February 19, 2021, the first day of work after the Spring Festival, Zhang Tao, the former director of the primary aluminum division at headquarters, arrived at Xiuwu Company to take charge of its operations. Over the past few months, Xiuwu Company has seen significant improvements in all aspects of its work.
This June marks the 20th National “Safety Production Month,” with the campaign theme being “Fulfill Safety Responsibilities and Promote Safe Development.” Safe production is not only a vital safeguard for people’s lives and health, but also the foundation for enterprises’ survival and growth—and, moreover, a prerequisite for social stability and economic development.
Everyone is responsible for safe production. Under the guidance of our workshop leaders, all employees in the High-Voltage Workshop of our Jiaozuo company gather punctually every day at the north gate of the Horizontal Workshop, where the workshop director leads and organizes a pre-shift meeting. “Safety issues” are truly discussed daily, monthly, and annually. Through these daily pre-shift meetings, every employee in the workshop clearly understands the safety fundamentals specific to their equipment and is fully aware of all potential safety hazards. Only by doing so can we effectively nip any safety risks in the bud and ensure safe production. The workshop’s unwavering daily pre-shift meetings have deeply impressed me, because we’ve truly realized that “doing even the simplest task well is no simple feat, and doing every ordinary task exceptionally well makes it extraordinary.” Once, I used to think that factory workers were mostly low-educated and culturally underdeveloped, coming to factories solely to earn a hard-earned living through physical labor. But now, seeing all employees enthusiastically speaking up at the pre-shift meetings, sharing detailed safety precautions relevant to their respective positions and demonstrating an intimate familiarity with potential hazards at their posts—constantly sounding the safety alarm and firmly establishing a robust safety defense line—I’ve come to see them in a whole new light. We must never underestimate our working class! It turns out that in all 360 trades, there’s always a champion in each one! I sincerely give a big thumbs-up to all the employees in the workshop!
Team-based safety development is the key to safe production. Crane operation is a high-risk occupation, so it’s crucial to pay close attention to safety at all times and remain constantly vigilant! In 1949, American engineer Edward Murphy proposed the famous Murphy’s Law: If there’s any possibility that something could go wrong, no matter how small that possibility may be, it will eventually happen. During work, everyone must strictly adhere to crane operating procedures and follow work requirements and equipment operating principles meticulously. The workshop faces tight production schedules and intense pressure, occasionally leading to competition for crane usage. As a crane operator, you must never carry negative emotions into your work; instead, you should always keep your mind focused and maintain composure—“concentrated effort ensures safety, while distraction spells danger!” This is because most safety accidents occur precisely when people are feeling agitated or stressed. If every employee can demonstrate dedication and commitment to their job, stay true to their duties, and firmly embrace the concept of safe production, we’ll be able to effectively safeguard our safety. Everyone must calm down and serve each machine in a well-coordinated and balanced manner. Only then can both “safety” and “production” be reliably ensured!
The weather in June was scorching hot, yet the production tasks in the workshop remained as heavy as ever. All employees, drenched in sweat and working tirelessly, were determined to meet their daily production targets and ensure flawless product delivery schedules! To address this, company leaders replaced the employees’ plastic safety helmets with lightweight, bamboo-woven summer safety hats—guaranteeing safe working conditions while relieving the “pressure” on workers’ heads. Moreover, the company leadership equipped the workshop with refrigerators, ensuring that everyone had access to ice-cold, purified water every day—a supply that often fell short of demand! The workshop office also stocked up on Huoxiang Zhengqi Water, a traditional remedy for preventing heatstroke among machine operators. With no worries about their well-being, the machine operators were now able to devote themselves fully and wholeheartedly to safe production!
Our company’s products come with high production costs, yet our customers are truly the gods of our business. Ensuring product quality and meeting delivery deadlines are top priorities that all employees must shoulder without hesitation! To guarantee the quality of the core components on the production line, we meticulously wrap the wire rope ends on crane lifting devices to thoroughly cover any burrs or sharp edges, ensuring that these imperfections won’t pose any threat to product quality before the ropes are put into use. To further ensure foolproof reliability between the crane hook and the main frame, the workshop safety officer has added an extra steel wire rope running horizontally across both ends of the frame, then securely fastening this additional rope together with the frame itself and suspending it from the crane hook—thus significantly boosting the safety margin of the lifting equipment! Our commitment to “safe production” is no mere empty slogan—it’s a promise that every single safety measure must be rigorously implemented and enforced. Production that neglects safety is nothing but a wild, fanciful dream born of delusion!
In our cross-linking workshop, we have been exceptionally diligent in implementing the principle of “Fulfilling safety responsibilities and promoting safe development” in our daily production activities. Even when we are extremely careful and cautious during our work, unexpected incidents can still occur. Whether an emergency is triggered by human error or equipment malfunction, we always report it immediately to our shift leader. The shift leader then reports to the workshop’s safety supervisor. We never try to hide anything; instead, we voluntarily share the details of the incident in our work group so that everyone can analyze the root causes together! The goal is for everyone to learn from these experiences and take them as valuable lessons for the future. No matter what safety-related issues arise in the workshop, we ensure that they are promptly reported, promptly addressed, and promptly resolved. Furthermore, the workshop’s safety officer promptly prepares a “Report on Investigation of Production Safety Accidents” following any emergency event. In this report, the person directly involved recounts the detailed sequence of events, while the workshop’s safety officer conducts a scientific analysis of the accident’s causes. Subsequently, the relevant department provides its recommendations for handling the incident, and the company issues its final decision. Finally, the workshop’s leadership approves the corrective measures and verifies their completion. All of this is done with one overarching objective: “Fulfilling safety responsibilities and promoting safe development.”
Operating cranes is a high-risk occupation—safety must be your top priority at all times! If you notice any abnormal conditions during crane operation, report them immediately to the workshop maintenance personnel and also notify our crane operation group chat. The purpose is to ensure that all members are aware of the issue and remain vigilant! Under no circumstances should a crane be allowed to operate while still “sick” or malfunctioning!
Safety work must start with each of us, starting right now. In our daily tasks, we must cultivate a sense of responsibility that is "heavier than Mount Tai," keeping safety constantly at the forefront of our minds and demanding strict adherence to standards—starting with ourselves! As qualified crane operators, we must strictly follow the crane operating procedures, always keeping in mind the "Ten No-Lifts" and "Five No-Hangs" during crane operations, and firmly engraving the "safety cornerstone" of crane work deep within our hearts. Only then can we ensure safety throughout our work processes! We must understand: Safety means happiness; accidents mean bloodshed; and rules and regulations are red lines that must never be crossed. Just as we shouldn't think of an umbrella only when it starts raining, nor should we remember safety only after an accident has occurred! All aspects of safe production must focus on prevention before problems arise! Let us stay true to our posts, pay attention to even the smallest details, eliminate violations, prevent accidents, and contribute to a brighter future for Han Cable!
